Reading Suggestions and Book Reviews

Unwind by Neal Shusterman
A sci-fi novel that takes place in a society where unwanted
teenagers are slavaged for their body parts, Unwind caught
my eye instantly. Few novels can hold my attention constantly
by page 2. It takes a lot of will power to put this mind-bending
tale down. I read Unwind in one day, I didnt stop for anything.
This book is quite possibly the most stunning work ever written.
If you truly want to change the way you see the world, go to the
library right now and take out Unwind. You'll not regret it.

Being by Kevin Brooks
Another gripping sci-fi book, Scott Brooks seems to have
tapped directly into my mind, deftly weaving together the
perfect story, it left me howling for more at the last page.
Scoot Brooks' writing style is fast and easy to read, it
carries the reader through Robert's mysterious tale, leaving
you to think for hours even after the last words.
Growing Wings by Laurel Winter
I have read Growing Wings so many times that it has
joined my copy of the third Harry Potter book in the
realms of infinity. Another fantasy novel, Growing Wings
follows Linnet, a teenage girl who finds that puberty has
brought her something a little unusual. A pair of wings.
Linnet winds up in a sanctuary of sorts with other people
just like her...or are they? The ending of the book left me
begging for a sequal. One of my all-time favorite books.(C)Elena Marione 2009
